Booze

Everyone I know drinks. A lot. Some smoke. Some take drugs.
I don’t.
I would love to spend more time with intelligent people who don’t feel the need to take something to alter their state of mind. Do they exist?
From personal experience to seeing the media snapshots of life, I am seriously beginning to wonder if there are people out there like me. I’m too old for StraightEdge but too young for Temperence.
What are the options for people like me.

PS – if yr a drinker and don’t like my thoughts, take your own somewhere else, reading posts on various sites I know there are people out there who think I’m out of order for not drinking. These people I do not need to hear from.

Persil

Have you seen the persil advert that says ‘imagine if clothes were flowers’? Argh. As someone with allergies the whole advert makes my skin crawl. Bad bad bad advert.

another odd advert

This one is for dell. The one with the lollipop theme. At the end a little thing comes up in the corner saying ‘for other laptops go to PC World’. Why on earth would an advert include an incitement to check out rival products?

Keyboards

As a left hander I think it would make life just that little bit easier if keyboards had an ENTER button on the left as well as the two on the right side.

CarSpotter adverts

I am I the only one slightly concerned that someone is offering a quick easy and cheap service to find out the value of any car by their reg plate? I don’t won’t any old joe finding out what my car is worth!!!!!

Weird dream

(Aug 1st)I dreamed my parents had taken me on holiday to Africa and on the day we were supposed to go to Lake Tanganika I slept till the afternoon and missed the trip. Then we picked out a tricked out Range ROver and went on a tour of some ancient archaeological site that involved travelling on escalators and travelators tha all seeemd to be interconnected and we saw all sorts of strange things like tanks full of sharks and huge glass walls.
I have no idea what that was all about.

Job searches

Why do internet job searches never offer a ‘not’ option?

I know I don’t want to work in a legal or accounts dept, and yet while I can positively choose them, there is apparently never an option to exclude them from my search, on any of the job websites I’ve ever looked at!

Communication breakdown

Is it ever possible to communicate an idea or concept to another person with no risk of misinterpretation or is every piece of communication at risk of being warped by the recipient’s own personal agenda or expectations?
